Sustaining Community Building Work

Last week I  hosted a training on ABCD at DePaul University in Chicago with a team of  ABCD Faculty Members and Fellows. The team  was very intentional about building on the talents of the participants from diverse backgrounds across the US. We spoke about the transformation that happens in neighbourhoods when residents are connected around their gifts.

We had  discussions on the limits but also the possibilities for the agencies and institutions that provide services in our communities to build connections.

Participants  talked about the benefits of finding your people in this work that can help sustain you in  this work.It was a highly interactive 2 days with many connections made.
