Things That Last and Become Treasures

My amazing Dad has run his own service station for 47 years as of last month! He’s on the right and our friend and part of our family, Jim is  on the left. Their story started when Jim was a high school student working in the building when Dad took over in 1970. They connected around their passions for repairing cars and although Jim was never a paid employee  of Dad’s, they have been close friends for 47 years. It was so enjoyable to watch and listen recently as they “worked ” and enjoyed each other while repairing this  old car.

This  car from the 1920’s looks very simple compared to cars today, but it has lasted almost 100 years. Jim thought I should call this photo “3 antiques” but more like two things that last, this 1924 Ford and their friendship.
