The man walking up the river shore was holding a fishing pole and I was curious about what he had caught. As I got closer, I saw that he had a kite attached to his line. I told him I was going to ask what he caught this morning and he laughed and said he loves to fly kites but that can’t run anymore due to an injury. The fishing pole and line helps to get the kite airborne quickly without running and demonstrated his invention. He also provided details on the best reels for kite flying and nearby places where there is usually a good wind and clearance.
Our conversation reminded me of the teams I am working with and the abundance of gifts they are discovering and the creative ways that they are building more connected communities.
